The Wizard Ales brewery is located in Ilfracombe, North Devon having moved here at the end of April 2007.
We started Wizard Ales brewery in March 2003 using a 1.25 Barrel brewplant purchased from Swaled Ale Brewery in Gunnerside, North Yorks. Our intention was to brew purely for our pub, The Norman Knight, with the odd barrel being available for beer festivals.
The Norman Knight in Whichford, Warwickshire was owned and run by us from 1995 until 2007. It is a traditional Cotswolds village pub and, as well as being featured in the Good Beer Guide, also picked up a few awards during our time there.

The beers were well received everywhere and in 2005 we installed a brand new five barrel plant, which gave us the capacity to increase our production level and offer our beers to a wider audience in the local area.
We are now firmly established in North Devon and have built up a loyal band of excellent local pubs who stock our beers.
Our bottled beers are also available in local shops, hotels and restaurants
